Bred and raced by Jerry and Ann Moss and trained by John Shirreffs, Ukiah won first time out as a four year old. He proved an earner, often piloted by Mike Smith. In 2009 the grey son of Unbridled’s Song was claimed by Dennis O’Neill, J. Paul Reddam and Westsiderentals.

He achieved another win at Golden Gate Fields ridden by Russell Baze and trained by Doug O’Neill. In the 2009 Californian Stakes (G2), Ukiah competed against future Old Friends resident Ball Four, but the eight year old gelding dropped in form, eventually running for $7,500 at Philadelphia Park.

In his last race he briefly wrested the lead but finished last. In 20 starts, Ukiah achieved 2 wins, 5 seconds and 4 thirds and earnings of $91,150.

The old warrior joined Old Friends in 2010. 20 Starts, 2 Wins, 5 Places, 4 Shows Career Earnings: $91,150
