Hussonfirst won his first start, a maiden special weight on the turf at Saratoga. He competed in a stakes race at Belmont and finished his two year old campaign at Aqueduct.

As a three year old he raced successfully in allowance company, achieving two strong second place finishes. From 7 starts the chestnut son of Hussonet earned a total of $58,610 before an injury ended his career.

In the spring of 2008 he joined the Old Friends roster. At three he was practically a youngster, and his antics have endeared him to all who watched him mature. Hussonfirst also has the distinction of being a grandson of the champion filly Sacahuista.

Old Friends is grateful to Jim Ponte for enabling Hussonfirst’s new life with us.
