The Old Friends "Give Me Shelter My Old Friend" Video

We are so lucky to have so many talented people amongst our ranks at Old Friends.  This video began as a poem Linda Spears wrote to help promote our run in shed campaign.  Her son, the talented Brian Elmore, jumped on board to make that poem into a song.  Farm manager Tim Wilson put together this fantastic video.  We are immensely grateful and proud of these folks who worked so hard to make this happen. The horses had a great time, too!

Old Friends has expanded and acquired more acreage, allowing us to provide a safe retirement for more Thoroughbreds in the coming years. But our expansion is not complete without run-in sheds in our fields. A run-in shed can provide shelter from not only the storms but also blistering sun, dangerous hail, and high winds, which can be life threatening to horses.

Our goal is to build 25 sheds, some of which will be doubled in size. Donations can be made in any amount to help build the sheds . However, an individual, a business or a group can also choose to sponsor a single shed for $2,000 or a double shed for $4,000 and be recognized with their name on a plaque on the paddock fence. Most importantly, you will forever have our deepest gratitude for helping our deserving horses. Every journey starts with a single step and every single dollar brings us closer to our finish line.

If you'd like to help out, go to our home page to donate via Paypal, call us at 502-863-1775 with a credit card or send a check to:  Old Friends, Inc., 1841 Paynes Depot Rd., Georgetown, KY 40324.  We are, as always, sincerely grateful to our supporters.

Please share with your friends!

Our most sincere thanks to Brian Elmore, who co-wrote and sang!
