History: Kiri’s Clown sports an impressive racing record on the turf, earning more than $1 million. This 17-year-old son of Foolish Pleasure set a course record at Saratoga Race Course for 1-1/2 miles by winning the 1995 Sword Dancer Invitational Handicap (G1) in 2:25.45. He finished second in the Sword Dancer in both 1994 and 1996. Kiri also won back-to-back editions of the New Hampshire Sweepstakes Handicap (G3) at Rockingham Park in 1994 and 1995, setting a course record each time, and the 1994 Knickerbocker Handicap (G3) at Aqueduct. One of the many exciting highlights of his career was his rivalry with Old Friends fellow resident, Awad. Kiri won his earliest victories with Jean Cruget up.
Kiri’s Clown was generously donated to Old Friends by owners Bob and Mary Sullivan who continue to visit and support him.
