Spend Valentine's Day with the one you love...the Kentucky Theatre! Help Old Friends!
From the Kentucky Theatre: We are thrilled to announce that we will host a special screening of the 1954 Billy Wilder film "Sabrina" on February 14. Starring Audrey Hepburn, Humphrey Bogart, and William Holden, this romantic comedy classic is the perfect way to celebrate the day of love. And, since it's a fundraiser for the theatre's restoration campaign, it's the perfect way to show your love for the Kentucky Theater!
Tickets will be $10 (available now at the Kentucky Theater box office!) and all proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Kentucky Theatre and our effort to restore Lexington's cinematic treasure.
But that's not all! Throughout the month of February, the theater will display an exhibit of rare movie artifacts donated by former Boston Globe film critic Michael Blowen. This is an unprecedented display of movie memorabilia for Lexington, and includes everything from letters written by Elia Kazan to the shirt worn (and signed!) by Jack Nicholson in Chinatown. All items will ultimately be auctioned, and proceeds split between the Kentucky Theater and the Old Friends Thoroughbred retirement farm. What better place to find a gift for your sweetheart? And seats are still available (anyone's name can be put on a seat when you make a donation to purchase one) so the gifting opportunities are endless!
