The Black Tie Affair Commemorative Collection

Go to Old Friends Facebook page to see the collection.

Just in time for Saint Patrick’s Day, our very generous volunteer and jewelry designer Kelly Eggleton (www.beadsforsteeds.com), has created a new Black Tie Affair commemorative necklace and earring set honoring the Irish heritage of our beloved Old Friend retiree--the 1991 Horse of the Year and Breeders’ Cup Classic winner was foaled in Ireland in 1986.

During his time with us at Old Friends Black Tie Affair captured the hearts of caregivers and visitors alike with his dignity, intelligence and beauty, He passed away at the age of 24 on July 1, 2010. He was a great ambassador, teacher and friend to all who knew him.

The necklace measures approximately 23”, plus a 2” drop for the charms, and features an easy-to-use toggle closure. The necklace is accompanied by matching earrings. All metals are plated, nickel-free, and hypoallergenic. The Black Tie Affair set is available now for online auction pledges exclusively through our Facebook fan page.  Go to Old Friends Facebook page to see the collection.

This offering will close on Monday, March 14 at 9 PM EST. Please POST your bid pledge directly on our FB fan page in the comments section. The opening reserve is $100 or higher for the set. The winning bidding will be asked to complete their bid via PayPal or with a credit card payment to Old Friends within 48 hours (please call (502) 863-1775. Upon receipt of payment, the set will be shipped via USPS.

A $10 Shipping and handling fee is to be paid directly for Kelly Eggleton. Kelly has generously agreed to donate all proceeds to the deserving retirees at Old Friends.
